Dear Parents and Friends of Antonian:
-
I welcome you to this school year and
wish to introduce you to the five groups
on the Antonian campus that provide
parents an opportunity to become
involved in the life of the school and
in the activities of the institution.
These groups often need people to assist
in the planning and implementation of
the various activities it sponsors and
call on parents to assist and
participate. Whatever your desire, we
offer these organizations as an
opportunity to involve you in the life
of the school.
-
Through these organizations, Antonian
wishes to acknowledge parents as the
primary educators of their children and
thus place them in the front line and
along with teachers, affect and
influence the teaching and learning of
lessons comprising of values and virtues
intended to develop a better
understanding of who their children are
as individuals, who they are in relation
to one another and what their
obligations are to a fuller society.
-
And
although you can become involved in the
many activities that the school
offers you as parents and especially in
the activities of your children, we ask
that you consider being a part of a
parent group so that community is built
and also that your time, talent and
treasure is something that enriches the
life of the school.
-
Let us not forget thus, that the primary
goal of our student's education is to
provide a foundation by which they can
justify, interpret, explain and live out
in practice a set of values and virtues
in accordance to Catholic teachings. In
order to accomplish this, parents need
to become involved in the life of the
school and in the activities of their
children and more importantly, they must
also come to learn about their role as
parents and how family life can result
in synchronousity of spirit, faith and
living.
-
This pamphlet is meant to introduce the
various parent organizations and invite
you to participate. We wish you many
blessings as you come to know how you
can be better involved with the
school.
-
Lastly, although the Antonian Parent
Association is open to all parents, as
part of the freshmen parent commitment
to the school, we are requiring your
participation in the activities of the
Association. As you will read in the
subsequent organizational pages, the
activities of the Association as many
but require your participation in four
(4) general sessions.
-
We hope that this
pamphlets helpful I discerning your
involvement this year.
-
Blessings
